The Glen Rhodes United Church Choir is small but mighty!

We are blessed with the gifted, generous, humorous and creative leadership of Gerald Petkau.  Music is an important part of our worship together and is thoughtfully chosen to reflect the theme and tone of our Sunday morning service along with other services and special celebrations throughout the year.

These are a few of our favourite things....

  • Together, making a ‘joyful noise’, laughing, eating and having fun.
  • The warmth and generosity of the congregation
  • The thought and care of those responsible for our worship together
  • And the joy and experience in blending voices together with our East End partners.

We rehearse on Thursday evenings at 7:30 pm in the sanctuary at Glen Rhodes and again at 10:00 am before service on Sundays. We welcome new members - even those who can only come occasionally. We also enjoy having special music and guest soloists. For more information please contact Gerald Petkau:

The Eastminster Adult Choir, led by Pastoral Musician – Hilary Seraph Donaldson and Music Leader- Scott Pietrangelo, is a 30-voice choir comprised of four professional soloists: Laura Larson, soprano; Sarah Hallikas, alto; Jeff Schissler, tenor; Andrew Hodwitz, bass; and a team of dedicated pro-am singers of all ages and musical backgrounds. Music is an integral part of our worship. The Eastminster Choir leads sung worship, and presents choral selections to enhance the message of the day.

At Eastminster, we have eclectic musical tastes which the choir happily obliges by drawing from a wide range of musical styles. Our repertoire includes everything from J.S. Bach to Natasha Bedingfield, from Mozart to Musical Theatre, and from Gospel to Glee. As well as performing traditional classical works, the choir has presented Canadian premiers of new music and original compositions.

The Eastminster Choir stages concerts, hosts special events and, of course, celebrates together! In recent years, the choir has enjoyed being ambassadors for Eastminster, singing at a variety of community concerts, theatrical events, and fundraisers around the GTA.

The Eastminster Adult Choir is joined by a love of music and a desire to offer our voices in praise, to increase our musical skills and vocabulary, and, above all, to have a good time! (And we do have a good time!!!). Rehearsals are Thursdays at 7:30 pm in the Sanctuary and again at 9:30 am before service on Sundays. We welcome new members!
